Winter break is right around the corner!
Finals are scheduled for 12/17, 12/18, and 12/19. Students do not have to be here if they have a study hall for that period or they can quietly study for their next exam in the commons. Below is the schedule with class period and time of the exam. Students that ride a bus will be dismissed at 12:25p with PM purple route on Wednesday and Thursday and at 9:25a on Friday. Rochelle Community Hospital will be visiting the Commons during lunch hours on Monday, 12/15, to talk about their Career Quest Program. Registration for this immersive healthcare experience opens up tomorrow, December 16th, and space is very limited, so be sure to stop by her table during lunch on Monday to get the details about this great opportunity.
Last week, this year’s Madrigal Dinner came to a close. We extend our sincere gratitude to our students, staff, families, and community for their support and two sold out nights! Your dedication and enthusiasm made this tradition a truly memorable celebration of music, creativity, and togetherness. Thank you for helping keep the arts thriving in our school!
Last night, we wrapped up the semester with a beautiful combined holiday concert featuring both our band and choir programs. We are grateful for the hard work of our students, and for the community that continues to support the arts. What a wonderful way to end the season.

The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with Scouting America to bring back the Explorer Program for youths ages 16 to 21, and an open house for interested participants and their families will be held December 17 at the administrative building at 202 S 1st St in Oregon. The program offers young people a chance to learn about law enforcement and explore future career opportunities through hands on experiences with local deputies.

Congratulations to the Rochelle FFA Horse Judging teams who competed yesterday at the Kewanee Hog Capital Horse Evaluation Competition. Rochelle 2 won the questions division while Rochelle 1 placed 10th and the Rochelle reasons team placed third. Logan Crawford was second individual and Samantha Overton was 6th in the questions division! Congratulations to Sawyer Stockton for placing sixth as an individual in the Reasons division!
