SENIOR REMINDER!!!

📚Today, National School Librarian Day, we celebrate our magnificent RTHS Librarian, Mrs. Ann Marie Jinkins, and Library Aide, Mrs. Dawn Winters. Ann Marie and Dawn do so much more than keep the school library organized and in working order. They are dedicated to helping our students find the resources they need to be successful both in and out of the classroom. Mrs. Jinkins and Mrs. Winters create an environment where students can learn and have fun along the way. They continually incorporate new and innovative ideas to enhance our students' educational and personal experiences and are instrumental in supporting our RTHS students and staff.
Thank you both for your hard work and dedication! You're the BEST!!!

Congrats!

There has been a rise in out-of-hospital emergencies across the nation. RTHS has proactively addressed this issue by establishing an emergency crisis response team composed of essential and well-known personnel on school premises. As a direct result of RTHS's efforts in forming this team, which includes CPR-trained individuals, Implementation of Emergency Response Plans, AED use & accessibility, practicing with simulated drills, and Emergency Action Plans for at-risk students, the school has achieved the designation as a "Heart Safe School" in partnership with the esteemed Lurie's Children's Hospital of Chicago and the Project Adam Foundation, both dedicated to preventing crises such as sudden cardiac arrests.🎖️This achievement is significant, especially considering that only 1 in 9 schools in Illinois holds this prestigious designation. Consequently, RTHS now has privileged access to the expertise, support, resources, and guidance of these distinguished regional experts. These are some of the members who partake in this team: Nurse Ashley Lawrenz, ATC Marshall Basler, Assistant Principals: Allison Vrana & Brett Zick, and SRO Jim Jakymiw.

Today, on Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, we celebrate our wonderful RTHS Paraprofessionals, also known as superheroes! 🦸♀️Paraprofessionals play an essential role within our RTHS family, supporting teachers and students in many ways. Paraprofessionals, or paras, teaching assistants, or instructional assistants, do a little of everything here at RTHS. They support classes, assist students, help with substituting and supporting the general running of the school, and help supervise students.
Parapros deserve all of the recognition and appreciation in the world for the work they do each day. We could not function without them and are lucky to have the best right here at RTHS.
Thank you so much for all you do everyday!
