On Thursday, Mrs. Jacobs and Mrs. Harvey had the opportunity to take a group of students to the 2024 Building Trades Career Expo at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 23 Training Center in Rockford. The students explored construction careers in the skilled trades and learned about world-class apprenticeship programs. Participating in hands-on activities also added to their experience. #RTHSTRADES

*Save the date* for the ROCHELLE SPRING HIRING EXPO on Thursday, March 7th. That morning, Juniors and Seniors will meet prospective employers and learn about career paths while experiencing a hiring event. From 12-2 pm, the Expo will be open to area job-seekers to meet with as many as 40 employers with current openings. This event will take place in the Auxiliary Gym at RTHS. Hope to see you there!


Congratulations to the Rochelle FFA members who competed in Section 2 Proficiency Interviews! Students completed a record book of their Supervised Agriculture Experience or Supervised Occupational Experience and were interviewed by a panel of judges. Six of our members were selected as first place in their areas and will move on to district competition in March!

Rochelle competed in the IHSA Sectional Speech Tournament on Feb. 10th. As a team Rochelle placed 3rd out of the 32 teams that were in the sectional.
