Agriculture Mechanics worked on identifying legal land descriptions today!
Students have been learning about surveying including drawing and labeling legal land descriptions. Today they drew their own townships and staked their own claims.

Student Council nominates individuals who have shown great hub pride and dedication to the school, students, and community throughout the years. This year Mr. Javier Zepeda was selected to be your 2023 Homecoming Grand Marshal.
Mr. Zepeda began his career as a part-time teacher over 20 years ago. He spent 15 of those years in the classroom teaching Spanish and the rest being a counselor to students at RTHS. Mr. Zepeda has also assisted the soccer program, the Ballet Folklorico group and the ELA department.
When asked what has made him enjoy being a part of the hub community he stated that RTHS has been a “fun and comfortable” place to be at. One of many accomplishments Mr. Zepeda is proud of is getting to be comfortable with students and parents, along with earning his two master's degrees (in ELL and counseling) to be in the position he is in now. When asked what his future plans for retirement are, he responded that he plans to “move to Texas and still be involved in school” by continuing his work with the schools, communities, or churches. His message to future generations is to “take that second opportunity” as he once did himself. “Take advantage of it, never give up on that opportunity and to continue working for your dreams. Work for the passion you have because that is the only way to get to where you want to be in a happy manner.” Mr. Zepeda's last words of wisdom are “once you get educated, no one can take that away from you”.
