Graduating in December? Now is the time to apply for Spring 2025 Kishwaukee College Foundation Scholarships. With more than 80 scholarship opportunities available, the Foundation offers financial assistance to help students fund their education. The application period is open Sept. 16-Oct. 15. Additionally, Kish automatically applies scholarships for in-district high school students. The Dual Credit Scholarship is available to students who earned college credit while in high school, and Academic Achievement Scholarships are available for students with qualifying grade-point averages.

Seniors!! Seats are still available for the Kishwaukee College Campus visit tomorrow, 9/18. Transportation will be provided from RTHS at 8:30am and you will be back to RTHS by 11:00am.
We are taking a small group, so this is the perfect opportunity to see the campus, talk to financial aid and get any questions answered you might have.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!! Volunteers are needed to help out in the Concession Stand during this Friday's Football game at RTHS. Any amount of time you can volunteer would be greatly appreciated and Silver Service Hours will be earned. On Wednesday, September 11th the Army National Guard visited our physical education classes and spoke about the benefits of joining. Afterwards, the kids got to participate in plate pulls and some got to complete an obstacle course.

It's almost Friday Night Football! This week's game against the Highland Bulldogs will be played at Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, IL. In lieu of admission, donations will be taken to benefit the Shriner's Hospital and the IHSFCA. Come down and show your support for our HUBS!!!


This week's Hub Award winner is Jackson Smith. He has volunteered to do the announcements daily, has been a great officer monitor, and is an all-around awesome kid who helps make RTHS a better place. We are lucky to have Jackson as a Hub!

Home & Workplace Maintenance has taken flight!! Students will get to fly drones that were purchased with grant money from the RTHSEA! They will get to zoom around and dig into some of the many careers that use drones.

SRO Jim made his second annual visit to physics to talk to students about how law enforcement officers use technology related to waves and wave properties. Big thanks to Officer Jim.







<<>>Silver Service Volunteer Hours have been updated as of 9/5/24 and are posted outside of the Counseling Center. The Seniors are in the lead with a total of 11,038 hours earned. Juniors have 6,157 hours, followed by Sophomores with 3,236. The Freshman are already off and running with 402 hours.
Don't forget that 400 hours earns you the privilege of wearing the Silver Cord at your graduation. Keep up the great volunteering RTHS!
