One of the best parts of CTE classes is getting to do what you are learning about, versus just reading about it. Today was day #1 in the shop for Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing, and students got to start learning how to control a robot, wire a light with a knife switch, and combine pneumatics and electricity to move a product. Students will have many more opportunities to apply their skills in the shop this semester!

Jonathan Staab, physical therapist at Rock Valley Physical Therapy in Rochelle, visited Mr. Baker's Anatomy and Physiology classes today. Mr. Staab gave a very informative and engaging presentation to the students, including an interactive game and contest for the class. They learned more about what physical therapists do and why they do it, how to become a PT, and also received the answers to many thoughtful questions they asked. A big Thank You to Mr. Staab for joining us at RTHS today and to Mr. Baker and his classes for their active participation.
