This past Saturday, the music department had two students participate in the ILMEA District 8 Band & Choir Festival in DeKalb. Lucas Smardo (senior) performed as a bass in the sr. choir, and Christian Mascote (junior) performed on trombone in the sr. band.
Both of them spent all Saturday in rigorous rehearsals with guest conductors, and both groups gave a combined concert in the evening. Congratulations to these students! Mr. Marigomen and I are very proud of all their hard work.

In the LMC's Screen-Free Friday activity today, teams raced to finish 100-piece puzzles quickly. Kara Hull, Liliana Lawrence, and Layla Macklin had the day's best score with 5:31.63. Well done!
