The RTHS "Hub" Marching Band will be giving their "end of the season" concert TONIGHT at 7pm. This concert will be outdoors this year and take place at the stadium.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students. Please come out and support the band program!

Last Friday, Mrs. Flanagan's Dual Credit Intro to Education class attended the Future Teacher Conference at Illinois State University. Sessions were hosted by university professors about different content areas and other opportunities in education. Students also had the opportunity to take a tour of campus, watch a performance by the Gamma Phi Circus, and meet Reggie the Redbird.

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients “regardless of nationality” with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. English 1 students had a "taste" of what it was like to be a character in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird when they sampled foods covered in molasses. After the tasting, most students had a better appreciation for some of the struggles families faced in the 1930s.

Student Council hosted the Make a Difference Day event this Saturday! Students volunteered their time to help our community members with outdoor fall clean up jobs. A group of students also volunteered at the food pantry. Thank you so much to Interact for joining us and all of the students who volunteered this weekend!

Congratulations to the RTHS Music Department students who auditioned and have been selected for the 2024 ILMEA (Illinois Music Educators Association) District 8 Festivals!
Festivals will take place on November 9th (jazz) and November 16 (concert band/choir) where the students will have a full day of rehearsals and give a concert at the end of the day. Very proud of these students!
