






RTHS Students! Grab some friends and join us to help Dodge Hunger at our first annual Dodging Hunger Dodgeball Tournament. See Mrs. Harvey or Mrs. Bonnell in the Counseling Center for more info. All proceeds from this event will go to stocking the shelves of our newly created food pantry here at RTHS and the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. The deadline to register is 11/19, so get your team together and have some fun!

💲Fall Scholarship Application Now Open:
🕜The fall cycle will be open to applicants until January 1st. It includes the traditional Howard D. Colman Scholarship Program, the renewable Fehr Graham Scholarship, and the Gary S. Wilmer/RAMI Scholarship for music (previously part of the winter application). This is a universal application and will match applicants to any of the three scholarships they meet the criteria for. Students can head to our website ( https://www.cfnil.org/scholarships ) to learn more and click ‘Apply for a Scholarship’ to create their portal account and start their application. Academic verifiers and references will have until January 9th at 5pm to complete third-party forms for the fall cycle. The winter application, with the majority of our opportunities, will open on December 1st.
▶️Community Scholarship Fair:
🗓️Mark your calendars for December 2nd! The annual Community Scholarship Fair will be held at Embassy Suites in Rockford from 5:00-8:00pm. This is an opportunity for your families to collect information about local scholarships, community resources, higher education institutions and certificate programs, and financial aid.

Rylie, a senior, has dedicated an outstanding 452 hours to Silver Service Volunteer work during her time at RTHS, earning the distinguished honor of wearing the Silver Cord at graduation. Her service spans a wide range of community efforts, including helping at the St. Paul concession stand, serving as a childcare provider and VBS leader at her church, unloading food for the Northern Illinois Food Bank truck, supporting Operation Christmas Child, volunteering at the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry, working the Little League concession stand, assisting at swim meets, and coaching and assisting with REC and Kids volleyball camps. She has also volunteered for Make a Difference Day, served as a traffic director for the Annual Turkey Trot, and participated in numerous other local events.
In addition to the above volunteer experiences, Rylie has contributed 40 hours of service through Adventures in Missions. She has also been actively involved in the Interact Club, competed as a varsity athlete on the RTHS Volleyball team, served as the manager for the RTHS baseball team for the past two years and volunteers during her study hall to be a main office monitor.
Rylie’s future plans include pursuing a career in Radiology.

RTHS Launches “Dodging Hunger Initiative”! 🥫
Rochelle Township High School is taking aim at food insecurity with a schoolwide food drive and dodgeball tournament to support local families.
📅 Food Drive: Nov. 17–21
Bring nonperishable items by class to the LMC (Freshmen–Breakfast, Sophomores–Lunch, Juniors–Dinner, Seniors–Snacks). Cash donations count too! Winning class gets bragging rights, early release, and picks which admin dresses as a 🦃at the Dodgeball game!
🎯 Dodgeball Game: Nov. 24 @ 6 PM, RTHS Gym
Open to the public—bring food or a donation for entry. Proceeds will help launch the new RTHS Food Pantry and support the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry.
